Mr. John Gordon is a chartered accountant and brings financial expertise to the South Western Sydney Local Health District Board. He was a Senior Audit and Assurance Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers with 38 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to clients in the areas of consumer goods and industrial products, services, government and the not-for-profit industry. He is currently Chairman or member of independent audit committees for several public and local authorities in NSW as well as for non-profit organisations. Hugh Dickson is a Senior Management Specialist at Liverpool Hospital in the South Western Sydney Local Health District. He is a Joint Professor of Elder Care and Rehabilitation at the South Western Sydney Clinical School at the University of New South Wales. As an outpatient physician, he practices with a particular interest in wound care and neuropathic ulcerations. His research focuses on basic measurement in the field of health. He was twice President of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and served two terms as Director of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In 2017, he received an OAM for the elderly care and rehabilitation service, as well as for medical training and administration.

Provide services and performance standards within an agreed budget, based on annual strategic and operational plans. This is the basis of our local health district service agreement. Ensure that services are provided in an efficient and responsible manner. Prepare annual reports subject to the financial responsibility and audit framework of the Crown. maintain effective communication with local and government public health actors. John has over 41 years of experience in NSW public service. Throughout his career, he has been interested in improving financial management at the operational level and in managing and developing business approaches to the provision of business services and public infrastructure. John has held senior financial positions throughout the NSW government in transport agencies and as Financial Controller of the 2000 Olympic Coordinating Authority.

Most recently, John served as Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary, Financial Services and Asset Management for NSW Health before retiring in 2018. . .
